I’m so excited to share today’s post with you! My son’s favorite song throughout his first year of life was ‘Old MacDonald Had a Farm’ so it was only natural to have a farm first birthday party for him! This theme was so much fun to put together and it is such a fun party idea for either a boy or a girl. I absolutely love how everything came together for this party.

The table decor I used for my son’s farm first birthday party included red checkered tablecloths, cow print napkins and the FREE printable place mats and napkin rings I found (links to printables included below) looked adorable with these barnyard lunch plates, dessert plates, and simple red cups. I also easily created beautiful fresh sunflower centerpieces with mason jars, twine, and cow print balloons.
Food / Dessert Table Decor
The food / dessert table decor included a red checkered tablecloth and this burlap table runner. I included a straw bale and decorated it with barn animal cupcake toppers. I also found a barn inspired wooden piece from Pottery Barn (no longer available), that I decorated with red and black cardstock.
Other Party Decor
The other party decor I used for my son’s farm first birthday party included this farm themed high chair banner which looked adorable on my wooden high chair. I tied cow print balloons to the high chair and it looked so cute. Also, I hung FREE printable barnyard signs around the party (links to printables included below).
Invitations and Thank You Cards
The invitations and thank you cards I purchased are no longer available, but other adorable barnyard invites can be found here, here, here, and here. Other cute barnyard thank you cards can be found here, here, and here.
FREE Barnyard Party Printables
I stumbled upon an amazing resource for FREE barnyard party printables that I used for my son’s party! They were created by the Hostess with the Mostess for Fisher-Price and these printables were the perfect addition to my son’s farm party. Direct links to the FREE printable downloads from the Fisher-Price website, including extra printables I didn’t use, are here: welcome sign, drink sign, small signs, place mats, party flags/napkin rings, small banners, favor tags, lunch box labels, and party hat. You can check out this blog post on the Hostess with the Mostess website that shows additional fun ways to use all of these printables. I added cow print cardstock as well as colored cardstock to the back of some of these printables which I thought looked absolutely adorable.
I hope you loved my son’s fun on the farm first birthday party and that it gave you inspiration for your own barnyard birthday party! All sources from the party are included below.
